Privacy Policy

We're glad you're visiting our website feedy.ch and your interest in our company. Protecting your personal data is very important to us.

This Privacy Policy informs you about what personal data we process when you visit our website, for what purpose, and on what legal basis. Our website is hosted by Squarespace. Since our services are also directed at individuals in Germany and Austria, this policy complies with both the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (DSG) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Website deployment and hosting via Squarespace

Our website is built using Squarespace's modular system and hosted on that provider's infrastructure:

Squarespace Ireland Limited, Ground Floor, Le Pole House, Great Ship Street, Dublin 8, Ireland, as well as its parent company, Squarespace, Inc., 225 Varick Street, 12th Floor, New York, NY 10014, USA.

Squarespace processes the data on our behalf (processing on our behalf). When you visit the website, technically necessary data is transmitted to Squarespace’s servers and stored in server log files, specifically:

Browser type and version, operating system used, IP address of the device used to access the site, date and time of access, pages and content accessed, the website from which the access originated (referrer), notification of successful access, and the amount of data transferred.

This processing is technically necessary to deliver the website, ensure its stability and security, and prevent misuse. The legal basis is our overriding legitimate interest in the secure and reliable operation of the website (Art. 31 DSG or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Your data may be processed in the United States. According to Squarespace, this transfer is based on appropriate safeguards (in particular, standard contractual clauses and participation in the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Frameworks). For more information, please see Squarespace’s Privacy Policy at https://www.squarespace.com/privacy.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device. Some of the cookies we use are technically necessary for the website to function and operate securely. These are set based on our legitimate interest (Art. 31 DSG or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We only use cookies that are not technically necessary—in particular those used for audience measurement—if you have given your consent (Art. 6(6) DSG or Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may revoke your consent at any time via the cookie settings on our website, effective for the future.

Essentially, Squarespace uses the following cookies:

Visitor Statistics (Squarespace Analytics)

We use the analytics feature built into Squarespace to analyze usage of our website and improve our offerings (e.g., pages viewed, approximate location, devices used). Squarespace performs this analysis on our behalf. We do not use external analytics services such as Google Analytics.

The legal basis is your consent, provided that cookies that are not strictly necessary are used (Art. 6(6) of the DSG or Art. 6(1)(a) of the GDPR).

Fonts (Web Fonts)

This website uses so-called web fonts (the "Lato" font) to ensure consistent font display. The font files are delivered locally via our website provider’s server. No connection is made to Google’s servers (Google Fonts) to display the fonts; no data—in particular, not your IP address—is transmitted to Google for this purpose.

Multilingualism (Weglot)

We use the Weglot service provided by Weglot SAS, 138 rue d'Aboukir, 75002 Paris, France, to switch the language on our website. Weglot translates the page content and saves your language selection for this purpose. In doing so, technical data such as your IP address may be processed. This processing takes place within the EU. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing our website in multiple languages (Art. 31 DSG or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). For more information, please visit https://www.weglot.com/privacy.

Contact Us

There are several ways you can contact us:

Contact Form. When you use our contact form, we process the data you enter (e.g., name, company, email address, message) in order to respond to your inquiry. The form is submitted via Squarespace. Required fields are marked as such; without this information, we cannot process your inquiry. The legal basis is the processing of your inquiry or the initiation of a contract (Art. 31 DSG or Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).

Email. If you contact us by email, we will process your information solely for the purpose of responding to your inquiry.

WhatsApp. On our website, we offer the option to contact us—for example, by sending a photo of a component—via WhatsApp. If you use this method, your data (phone number, content transmitted) will be processed by the operator, WhatsApp Ireland Limited or Meta Platforms; this may involve a transfer to the United States. Use of WhatsApp is voluntary; alternatively, you can contact us via the contact form, email, or phone. WhatsApp’s privacy policy also applies.

Your inquiry data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer needed and there are no legal retention periods that prevent this.

Shop / Price Inquiry

Our website includes a product section. This section is currently intended solely for informational purposes and to request pricing information. No online payments are processed, and no payment service provider is integrated. If you submit an inquiry, the information under “Contact Us” applies. Should a payment function be activated at a later date, we will update this statement accordingly.

Link to LinkedIn

In our footer, we provide a link to our company profile on LinkedIn. This is a simple link; data is not transmitted to LinkedIn until you actively click on the link. Once you do so, LinkedIn’s privacy policy applies.

Protection Against Automated Inputs (Google reCAPTCHA)

To protect our contact form from abusive, automated use, we use Google reCAPTCHA on the contact page. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (parent company: Google LLC, USA). reCAPTCHA analyzes user behavior based on various characteristics (e.g., IP address, time spent on the page, mouse movements, device and browser data) to determine whether the input is being made by a human or an automated program. In the process, data is transmitted to Google; processing in the United States is possible, for which the safeguards described above apply. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the security of our website (Art. 31 DSG or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). For more information, please visit https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Disclosure of Data to Third Parties

We will only disclose your personal data to the extent necessary to provide our services (e.g., to Squarespace as a data processor), if you have given your consent, or if we are required to do so by law or pursuant to an official or court order. We do not disclose your personal data to third parties for advertising purposes.

Retention period

We process and store your personal data only for as long as is necessary for the respective purposes or as long as we are legally required to retain it. After that, the data will be deleted.

Your Rights

Under the DSG and—where applicable—the GDPR, you have the following rights in particular:

Information regarding the personal data we process (Art. 25 et seq. of the DSG, Art. 15 of the GDPR);

Correction of inaccurate data (Art. 32 DSG, Art. 16 GDPR);

Deletion of your data, provided that there are no legal retention requirements or overriding reasons preventing such deletion (Art. 17 of the GDPR);

Restriction of processing (Art. 18 of the GDPR);

Data portability (Art. 28 DSG, Art. 20 GDPR);

Objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR);

Withdrawal of consent that has already been given, effective for the future.

To exercise your rights, simply send a message using the contact information provided above. Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing that took place up to that point.

Data Security and Email Communication

We take technical and organizational measures to protect your data. In the case of unencrypted email communication, we cannot guarantee complete security during transmission. For confidential information, we therefore recommend sending it by mail or using an encrypted method of transmission.

Regulatory Authority and Legal Remedies

If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection laws, you may contact a supervisory authority.

In Switzerland, this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), https://www.edoeb.admin.ch.

If the GDPR applies, you also have the right to file a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority in the EU, specifically in the location of your habitual residence.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We will update this Privacy Policy if our website, the services we use, or the legal requirements change.
